At Steinbeis SMI, our entire concept is based on what we like to call The 3 I’s: Insight, Innovation and Impact. These 3 I’s are at the heart of what we do and are the building blocks of our organization. With every undertaking, we first form a deep and accurate understanding of the task at hand, before applying a fresh and creative approach that positively effects change.
Just like how we at Steinbeis SMI have developed a structure with The 3 I’s, there is a widely-used sustainability framework – coined the Triple Bottom Line – set in place to make up the core of a business. People, Planet and Prosperity (formerly Profit) are The 3 P’s that make up this framework, and similarly to SMI’s 3 I’s, are the steps necessary to implement positive social, environmental and economic impact.
The success of sustainability goals is integral to the wellbeing of people and the health of our planet. This year’s Earth Day theme is #RestoreOurEarth, which focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems.
Think about The 3 I’s and The 3 P’s, and about you can utilize these steps to create a cleaner and safer world to live in.
